Our company, a leader in the field of industrial machinery for the production and processing of flat glass, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Area Manager, with business development responsibilities for Northern Italy and abroad. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on direct sales in Northern Italy and indirect sales through a network of agents and distributors for foreign countries (details of the following territories).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement direct sales strategies for Northern Italy (machines + spare parts), with the aim of reaching and exceeding turnover targets.
  • Develop and implement indirect sales strategies through Agents and Distributors for some foreign countries (machines + spare parts), with the aim of reaching and exceeding turnover targets.
  • Manage and consolidate relationships with existing customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify new business opportunities and new markets, developing strategic plans for sales expansion.
  • Collaborate with agents and distributors to maximize indirect sales, providing necessary support and training.
  • Constantly monitor competitor activities and market trends, providing detailed reports and analysis to management.
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote the company's products and develop new networking opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing and technical support, to ensure a high- quality product and service offering.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the role of Sales Area Manager or similar position, preferably in the industrial machinery industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of direct and indirect sales dynamics.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with customers and business partners.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Results-oriented and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel frequently in Northern Italy.
  • Bachelor's degree in economics or engineering is preferable.
  • Good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken). Any other language skills are a plus
