The Senior Technical Buyer, with experience in the electronic and electrical fields, preferably gained in high-complexity automation contexts, will be part of the Purchasing department at the central headquarters in Cuneo, within the Business Unit Operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing technical purchasing activities, ensuring efficient, quality, and strategic procurement in the electronic and electrical domains.

Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends in the electronic and electrical sectors, identifying new suppliers and strategic opportunities.
  • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, negotiating advantageous contractual terms.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analyses to ensure maximum efficiency in purchasing operations, consistently identifying areas for improvement.
  • Supplier Selection: Select reliable suppliers that meet the required quality standards, with particular attention to the electronic and electrical sectors.
  • Contract Management: Negotiate and manage supply contracts, ensuring compliance and safeguarding the company's interests.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as production, design, and quality control to ensure an integrated and optimized supply chain.
  • Risk Evaluation and Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, ensuring operational continuity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the role of Senior Technical Buyer, preferably in companies with international suppliers and scope, in the electrical/electronic field.
  • In-depth knowledge of technical procurement processes and global sourcing practices, as well as scouting for new suppliers.
  • Thorough understanding of the market for electronic and electrical components and assemblies.
  • Advanced negotiation skills and supplier management capabilities.
  • Contractual expertise, ability to understand and draft contractual clauses/framework agreements.
  • Excellent analytical skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with and proficiency in using ERP systems.
  • Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work independently and within a dynamic and international team.
  • Availability for occasional travel (once or twice a year) internationally.
