News about the New Facility in Neuss

 

1957 - Pasquale Bottero, drawing upon his vast experience, founds Bottero Costruzioni Meccaniche, a small shop in which he develops his own quality machinery for Flat Glass production.
The company proves its capacity for innovation in the field from the very beginning, patenting both the firts Tilting Table and the Pinza.
Due to rapid growth, within five years Bottero requires more space than its original rented premises and buys land for construction of a new factory.

1962 - With the completion of the new Cuneo factory, Bottero establishes the site where ist headquarters are today.

1966 - The factory is enlarged to accomodate the new Hollow Glass unit which engineers and manufactures machinery to produce glass containers.

1976 - Bottero integrates the two operating division with an electronics (hardware and software) department, enabling the company to develop the industrial automation.

1980 - Successful technological innovations result in financial growth requiring the formation of a holding Group, Bottero Finanziaria S.p.A..

1986 - Already an important presence in the world sales, the Bottero Group goes beyond Italian borders to establish its first subsidiary in Grevenbroich, Germany. Bottero GmbH is responsible for sales and service in German speaking and in Eastern Europe countries.

1987 - Group growth continues with the acquisition and reorganization of Industrie Cometto S.p.A. in Borgo San Dalmazzo (Cuneo).

1988 - Bottero founds Revimac in Montecchio Maggiore (Vicenza); this company overhauls and updates bottle making machines.

1992 - Acquisition of the Trana factory (Turin), which manufactures edging and bevelling machines.

1996 - Expansion of the Cuneo property and buildings in the mid 90' s result in 58.000 mq. of space, of which 30.000 mq. are dedicated to factory and administrative offices. The new office building reflects the impressive level of international accomplishment Bottero has achieved.

1998 - In order to improve the service to the North American market, Bottero opens its second subsidiary, Bottero Flat Glass Inc., based in Pomona, NY, U.S.A.. This office follows, through a comprehensive team of sales representatives and technicians, the Bottero customers in U.S.A., Canada and Mexico.

1999 - The steady growth of the French market requires Bottero to establish its third subsidiary. Bottero France S.A. serves the Bottero customers in France with technically prepared sales support, factory trained technicians and a large stock of spare parts.

2000 - The resources dedicated to the engineering and the manufacturing of customized equipment for float factories and large corporations are organized in the Engineering.

2000 - The increasingly wide product range offered by Bottero mandated the foundation of the fourth international subsidiary. Bottero U.K., based in Rochdale, is available for supporting the Bottero customers in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

2000 - The group co-founds Bimatech S.r.l. with some well-known players of the Flat Glass Machinery Industry. Bimatech is specialized in the engineering and manufacturing of Numerically Controlled Work Centers for Shape Edging, Shape Bevelling, Drilling and Shape Grooving on Flat Glass. Its operative headquarters are based in Pesaro.
