The Flat Glass Division began over 50 years ago when Bottero was founded to engineer and produce glassworking machinery. Through research and development this Division has been involved in all phases of the Flat Glass Industry.
From the first tilting tables to the first automatic lines of the '70's, to the CNCs for cutting of the '80's and the modular series of the '90's.
This is the result of continuous efforts by our engineers to find quality and economical solutions for customers. This explains the formidable number of trade marks and patents that Bottero has registered world-wide.
The Division's products include the well known tilting tables as well as full automatic lines (off line) for loading, cutting, breaking and manipulating laminated and float glass. Today many different industrial sectors benefit from the Flat Glass Division's products.
The Flat Glass Division employs approximately 200 people between the Cuneo and Trana plants. The Cuneo plant is dedicated to the engineering and the production of equipment to manipulate, cut and breakout glass, while in the Trana plant takes place the manufacturing of the machines for edging and bevelling.

Since October 2000, the wide range of products offered by the Flat Glass Division is increased by the ones manufactured by Bimatech S.r.l.. Co-founded by Bottero with some well-known players of the Flat Glass Machinery Industry, Bimatech is specialized in the engineering and manufacturing of Numerically Controlled Work Centers for Shape Edging, Shape Bevelling, Drilling and Shape Grooving on Flat Glass. Its operative headquarters are based in Pesaro.
