The Engineering Division was officially created at the beginning of year 2000, but its activity began over 40 years ago when Bottero was founded to engineer and produce glassworking machinery.
Bottero - through continuous research and development - has been involved in all phases of the flat glass industry, realising from the first vertical machines to produce flat glass (Pittsburgh and Fourcault types) in the '60's, to today's production lines of float glass, laminated glass and automotive glass, thanks to the continuous efforts by the project engineers to find quality and economical solutions for customers. This explains the formidable number of trade marks and patents that Bottero has registered world-wide.
Today, many different industrial sectors benefit from the Engineering Division's products.
The Engineering Division employs approx. 60 people, of which the most are engineers or technicians.
The engineering and the marketing departments work directly with clients, to realise customised machinery and big equipment for full production lines.
