Technical description

The Bottero IG Edge Deletion Machine removes the Low-E coating layer (Chemical treatment of glass surface to improve its thermal and luminosity characteristics) from panel edges. The machine structure is partly built in stainless steel and treated with bi-component epoxy paint, consisting of three sections: The Inlet conveyor is equipped with air cushion for glass transportation and uses a motor-driven horizontal, toothed belt coated with polyurethane for high wear resistance. The Central Edge Deletion unit uses a single head that can rotate up to 90° to grind all 4 sides of a panel with a diamond abrasive heads. The abrasive head, that does not generate dust while operating, runs vertically on aluminium guides. All movements are controlled by PLC. The Outlet conveyor is equipped with air cushion for glass transportation and uses a motor-driven, horizontal tooth belt, polyurethane coated for high resistance to wear.
