January 2011

With the flexibility and reliability of the 200/400 generation of electronic systems, Bottero has become a reference point in the controls of IS forming lines.

Nonetheless electronic components are evolving and in order to remain a state of the art reference, Bottero has developed a new platform which strengthens its position as a leading worldwide supplier.

Starting January 2011, the E-pack 700 series will replace all 200/400 electronic control systems which will be no longer available for sale.

All the installed base of 200/400 electronic control systems will not be affected since Bottero will continue to fully support its Customers with spare parts and technical service.

Being the 700-Series completely compatible with the 200/400, existing lines can be easily upgraded or integrated with the new standard.

The operator interface is always the SPV400 featuring more options and more advanced diagnostic tools that, together with the modularity of the components, are the real key features of the E-Pack series.

The new platform of electronic control system is available in the following modules:

  • EFC700 Electronic forming control module
  • FMC700 Flexible motor control module
  • SMC700 Servo mechanism control module
  • EPS700-TA Electronic pusher module – Twin axis

After a life spent in the glass industry with different roles, Peter Pearson has passed away on July 26th at the age of 75.
Peter started his career in the glass industry when he was 17 years old, as an apprentice with Jackson Bros in Knottingley, he then went to Emhart Glass and moved in different positions from service engineer to training till Managing Director of Emhart UK. For the past 20 years Peter has been the Bottero man in the UK.
All those who met him remember his enthusiasm and his positive approach to work and to life which was contagious. Things didn’t just happen when he was around, it was always interesting, exciting and involving, whether you liked it or not. There was always something to learn from Peter.
There are hundreds of episodes that are worth remembering, the majority of them of course are forming area related and they all lead to a passionate man that did with joy and professional proud what he was doing, and had enough energy to boost up all those that were around him.
That is how Peter will be remembered.
